President Biden's senior science adviser, Eric Lander, resigned Monday night after acknowledging that he mistreated his staff and apologized for demeaning them. Lander wrote in the letter that he is“devastated” that he has wounded former and current coworkers. Biden did not request Lander's resignation, according to the White House.
