New Batch of Saudi Medical Aid Reached Tunisia to Combat Spread of COVID-19


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Tunis, Jan. 15, 2022, SPA -- A new batch of Saudi medical aid, including 160 tons of liquid oxygen, arrived in here today, as part of the Saudi relief airlift, operated by King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center to contribute to combating the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Tunisia, in implementation of directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The batch was received at the sea port in Tunisian Rades region, by the Saudi Ambassador to Tunisia Dr. Abdulaziz bin Ali Al-Saqr, the Tunisian Acting Minister of Health Ali Merabet, and a number of senior officials.
In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Tunisian Acting Minister of Health thanked the Kingdom's leadership, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince for their permanent support for Tunisia, stressing that this new batch is an extension of previous aid provided by the Kingdom through KSrelief to support the health sector and the country's fight against the COVID-19 in Tunisia.
For his part, Ambassador Alsaqr said that his country is everyday proving that it supports all friendly and sisterly countries throughout the world and, today, it is proving to the Tunisian people that it is standing by their side to face all tough circumstances.
Alsaqr also paid tribute to KSrelief for its strenuous efforts in fighting the pandemic all over the globe.
This aid falls within the framework of the support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, to international efforts to address the pandemic of (COVID-19) in various brotherly and friendly countries of the world.
