Etihad airline may cancel orders of Airbus, Boeing airplane

(MENAFN) On Wednesday, Etihad Airways chief executive stated that Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways could cancel orders of airplanes placed with Airbus and Boeing worth billions of dollars of, yet the air company thought for some time before it wanted to make such a choice.

The airline owned by the state is reorganizing under new administration led by Tony Douglas after an unsuccessful offer the previous decade to contest with main Gulf Transporters Emirates and Qatar Airways.

When inquired about Airbus A320neo and Boeing 777X ordered by former administration, Douglas stated that the carrier was concentrated on maintainable development and that a last decision had not been reached.

He also said that doubt over deliveries and when the business would revive from Covid had enlarged the difficulty of making a decision on its upcoming fleet strategies
