Is It true : India vs Afghanistan match was fixed?
(MENAFN- Tiro) As India secured a big win over Afghanistan in their group clash of ICC Men's World Cup T20 2021 on Wednesday, some Pakistani fans started a trend on Twitter claiming that the match between India and Afghanistan was fixed or not?
Pakistani Twitter users said that the match was fixed and Afghanistan deliberately bowled badly and the fielders also dropped a few easy catches to help India win the game. News from The Around Views
One of the Twitter users wrote, "It is so sad to see a country that fought with so much vigour and passion throughout the tournament to sell out to the bigger team and let them win at the highest stage of cricket. Sad to see India ruin the beauty of the gentleman's sport."
However, legendary Pakistani players Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis have rejected the match-fixing claims, saying that such claims should be ignored.
Akram called the whole discussion 'pointless' and added that he failed to understand why and how these conspiracy theories are born in Pakistan.
