Iceland suspends use of Moderna vaccine due to increased risk of cardiac inflammation


(MENAFN) Iceland postponed the usage of the Moderna anti-coronavirus vaccine, mentioning an augmented risk of cardiac inflammation.

The usage of a vaccine by a US pharmaceutical company was suspended as a result to worries over augmented risks of heart-inflammation, Bloomberg reported.

The chief epidemiologist settled on not using the Moderna vaccine because the supply of Pfizer vaccine is enough, the Health Directorate stated.

Sweden and Finland postponed the usage of the vaccine in people under the age of 30.

Also; Denmark and Norway completely forbidden the usage of the Moderna vaccine for anyone under the age of 18.
