We won't return to fight in Afghanistan: British Defence Secretary
(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) London, Aug. 16 (Petra) -- British Secretary of State for Defence, Ben Wallace, said that British and NATO forces won't return to fight in Afghanistan, after the Taliban movement took control of the country.
Wallace told the British "Sky News" network on Monday, in response to a question about whether Britain and NATO will return to Afghanistan, that "this is not on the table ... we will not return."
Wallace stressed that the military sector of the Kabul airport is safe and that Britain is doing everything it can to evacuate British citizens, as well as Afghans with ties to Britain.
Wallace told the British "Sky News" network on Monday, in response to a question about whether Britain and NATO will return to Afghanistan, that "this is not on the table ... we will not return."
