India- BS Yediyurappa tests coronavirus positive for the second time
(MENAFN- NewsBytes) Karnataka Chief Minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader BS Yediyurappa tested positive for coronavirus today. The 78-year-old gave an update about it on Twitter.
He had contracted the disease in August 2020 as well and had to be hospitalized.
Notably, he has been campaigning for the last few days in the north Karnataka constituencies, where by-polls will be held on Saturday.
"Although I am doing fine, I am being hospitalized based on the advice of doctors. I request all those who have come in my contact recently to be observant and exercise self-quarantine," the Chief Minister's tweet read.
From Ramaiah Memorial Hospital, where he was admitted earlier, he was taken to Manipal Hospital.
As per The News Minute , he has been complaining of fatigue for the last three days.
Members of his family, personal staff, and cabinet colleagues have been advised to get themselves tested.

This development, and others like this, re-affirm the advice of experts that coronavirus-linked precautions have to be followed even after getting the first dose.
Reportedly, he was tested two days ago as well, but his report turned out to be negative.

Of the 96,561 active cases in Karnataka, 71,827 are concentrated in Bengaluru Urban.
Yesterday, India reported 2.1 lakh new coronavirus cases and 1,185 deaths.
