Qatar- MME launches field studies on impact of grazing ban on green areas

(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Doha: The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME), represented by the Department of Protection and Wildlife, launched field studies of the impact of the decision to ban grazing on green areas for the third season in a row in cooperation with several departments in the ministry.

Field studies will be carried out in 10 areas that have been selected across the country to conduct vegetation survey studies and monitor the potential effects of grazing. One of the areas would be exposed to grazing camels under the supervision of a team to study itsits effects compared to other fenced-off areas.

The permanent work team to study the impacts of the decision to ban grazing in some areas was formed by Ministerial Resolution No. 381 of 2018.
