Afghanistan: 10 drug, weapon traffickers detained
(MENAFN) On Sunday, Jan. 3, Afghanistan's Ministry of Interior stated that, the country's police have detained 10 suspects in relation with drug and weapons trafficking.
The ministry stated in a report: "Counter-Narcotics Police of Afghanistan (CNPA) in coordination with the detective agents arrested 10 suspects for the transportation of weapons and narcotics in Kabul, Herat and Balkh provinces over the past 24 hours."
The report stated that, a great amount of drugs comprising opium, stimulant tablets, heroin, methamphetamine or crystal, and hashish had also been seized.
Four pistols and two AK-47 guns, a number of hand-grenades had also been confiscated from the suspects.
