Ethiopian maids left outside Beirut embassy

(MENAFN)
Maids have been abandoned outside a Beirut embassy, amid a continuing economic catastrophe in Lebanon, heightened by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Lebanon's economy is failing with the country's currency losing 70% of its worth in the past six months.

Now many of the country's middle class say they can no longer afford to pay their home maids.

More than 100 Ethiopian migrant workers have been left outside their embassy in Beirut in recent days.

As reported by the BBC's Martin Patience reports from the Ethiopian embassy in Lebanon.
