Earthquake of 5.7 magnitude strikes Greece

The U.S. Geological Survey said that a 5.7 magnitude earthquake has struck 224 km to the southwest of Methoni in Greece at 2:43 of local time on Thursday (2343 GMT on Wednesday).

The earthquake's epicenter had a 20.22 km depth and it was located at 20.2872 degrees east longitude and 35.1547 degrees north latitude.

Methoni is a town that falls in Peloponnese region in the southern part of Greece, no injuries or significant damages resulting from the earthquake were reported.
