Qatar's QIB, QRCS ink deal to bolster ties


(MENAFN) Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) sealed a deal with Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS), looking to strengthen their bilateral relations and jointly back the implementation of social and humanitarian initiatives.

QIB is determined to offer financial assistance to plans and projects aimed at supporting regular and emergency cases in the GCC nations.

Under the agreement, the two sides will be forming a joint committee in order to keep an eye and assess projects along with disclosing the outcome of the projects.

"At QIB, we are pleased to sign this agreement with QRCS, as it serves our common objectives," as stated QIB Board Member and Head of Zakat Committee Mansour Al Muslah.

Al Muslah added: "QIB Zakat Committee's core objective is to strengthen bonds of cooperation and unity among the Muslim society, by directing Zakat funds to those in need of them. Additionally, the committee has a responsibility of enhancing the relations with charity organizations within our country, headed by QRCS, which has a vital role in servicing the society."
