Kuwait- Awareness campaign says why stickers replaced with Civil ID


(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, March 25: General Department for Public Relations and Security Media at Ministry of Interior has announced that a team from the department has been distributing in all governorates pamphlets and booklets about the ministerial decision No. 135/2019 concerning cancellation of residency stickers in the passports of expatriates and the need for valid civil ID.

In a press release, the department explained that this awareness campaign was based on the strategic plan prepared by security authorities for increasing the awareness of Kuwaiti citizens and expatriates concerning all issues related to cancellation of residency stickers in expatriates' passports as well as ways to carry out relevant procedures on the ministry website www.moi.gov. kw in an effort to save time and efforts for the people.

The ministry affirms its willingness to answer all enquiries about the application of this decision. The department urged all individuals to carry their civil ID cards at all times, and ensure their details on the civil ID are the same as the information in their passport, as well as to confirm the accuracy of their names in both English and Arabic in order to avoid any issues when leaving or entering the country.
