Oman, Standard Chartered pen USD30b pacts in 4 years

(MENAFN) Oman secured over the last three to four years agreements with Standard Chartered Bank valued at more than USD30 billion for a range of financing initiatives.

Oman was hailed by Standard Chartered group chairman Jose Vinals for its performance in managing cash.

"We, as a bank, were involved in various project finances along with the government and other key players for many years. And in the past three-four years, we have signed deals worth over US$30bn," the group chairman affirmed.

Vinals further added that several agreements between both sides are yet to be concluded, with the USD30 billion not all yet to be spent in Oman.
