Qatar- QIB relocates WPS center to new Industrial Area branch

DOHA: Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) has announced the relocation of the Wage Protection System (WPS) center from Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center (Fanar) to the newly-opened Industrial Area branch located at Barwa Commercial Avenue. The relocation of the WPS center is part of a plan combining all teams to service WPS clients under one roof in an efficient and timely manner.

The new center is open from Sunday to Thursday from 7.30am till 1.00 pm; and evening from the 10th till the 25th of each month, Sunday to Wednesday from 5.30pm 7.30pm; Saturdays from 9.00 am till 12.00 pm.

Commenting on the relocation of the WPS center Tarek Fawzi, General Manager of QIB's Wholesale Banking Group said, 'The relocation of the center is a part of QIB's digital transformation strategy to offer financial services and products in an efficient and timely manner. The new WPS center offers a One-Stop-Shop solution to its WPS corporate and individual customers allowing new clients to enroll in WPS, and existing clients to process employee salaries and opening accounts for new employees, as well as e-registration on the WPS website.

In this context, the Bank has recently launched the WPS online portal which allows clients to register for free by filling out the application form on the QIB website or industrial area branch and identify key users and their respective responsibilities.
