Kuwait welcomes Saudi Arabia indictments in Khashoggi case

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Nov 16 (KUNA) -- Kuwait welcomed recent indictments by Saudi Arabia's public prosecutor over the Jamal Khashoggi murder case, an official foreign ministry source said on Friday.
Kuwait praised the public prosecutor's finding, which was a result of transparent investigations into the case and the Kingdom's commitment, under the leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz, to lay the foundations of justice, source said in a statement.
The statement lauded Riyadh's keenness in taking legal actions against those involved in the crime, added the statement.
Kuwait reiterates its confidence in Saudi Arabia's legal procedures, stressing the importance of refraining from using the case for political purposes, it noted. (end) tb.ma
