The Government says it is undecided if it will attend Parliament sessions tomorrow.

Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva said that the Government will further discuss the outcome of the Supreme Court order issued today and decide if it will attend Parliament tomorrow morning.

The Supreme Court today issued a stay order against President Maithripala Sirisena's decision to dissolve Parliament and hold a snap election in January.

Following the court order, Speaker Karu Jayasuriya announced that Parliament will convene at 10am tomorrow.

However Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva said that the Government will consult its lawyers and decide the next step.

He also said that the Government lawyers will request the Supreme Court to have a full bench when hearing the case and not just a three-judge bench.

The case was heard yesterday and today by a three-judge bench. (Colombo Gazette)
