Saudi Arabia faces pressure on Khashoggi's body location

(MENAFN)Saudi Arabia has been hit with growing pressures over questions of the location of the corpse of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

It comes after Saudi Arabia confirmed the death of the journalist amid a "brawl" at the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul after entering it on October 2nd.

Syrian journalist Musa al-Omar stressed: "Where is the body of Jamal Khashoggi?"

The journalist noted "he should be buried in Al-Baqi' [a cemetery in Madinah in western Saudi Arabia] as recommended."

The reason behind the journalist's death was questioned by Roger Cohen, a columnist for The New York Times.

Cohen stated "strangled in "a fistfight"?? 15 agents sent to "meet him"?? One of them with a saw??" Oh, and didn't Khashoggi walk out the consulate 17 days ago??"

He added "if [U.S. Secretary of State Mike] Pompeo was sent to Riyadh to cobble together a plausible story, well, mission failed."
