DOHA: Around 75 percent local exhibitors will display their work at the 11th edition of International Wedding Exhibition & Fashion Show Doha (IWED) 2018, which will be held from September 26 to 30 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center.
Hadi A Ali, Qatar Expo's Chief Executive Officer told The Peninsula: 'More than 70 percent local exhibitors will exhibit in IWED 2018 this year which includes local designers, wedding planners and flower and chocolate shops.
'This year, we are welcoming designers from India, Turkey, China, Oman, Kuwait and many more countries. Two companies from Lebanon and one from Spain and Italy will also display their works during the exhibition.
'We are expecting around 10,000 visitors because the ongoing events season. A presenter coming from Kuwait will give a workshop, whereas daily there will be a fashion show. Opening ceremony will be on September 26 and the exhibition will be open for public from 11am onwards, Hadi added.
Thirteen Qatari bloggers will live stream the exhibition. IWED is set to take place at DECC cover almost 5,000sqm area. Skin and Soul Company will give live makeup and hairstyle tutorials during the exhibition.
Thousands of soon-to-be-weds, fashion enthusiasts, business individuals, designers from across Qatar are expected to visit IWED which is generally regarded as one of the most attended events among the numerous wedding exhibitions in the Middle East where best arrangements, offers, ideas and inspirations may be found.
