(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Leading physical therapy and rehabilitation experts from around the world were honoured during a conference in Ajman that saw renowned international speakers and experts.

Humaid Al Qutami, chairman of the Board and director-general of the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), honoured the experts during the 'Conference on Innovations in Rehabilitation Practice' hosted by the Thumbay Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Hospital at Thumbay Medicity.

Former Pakistan cricketer Wasim Akram, Indian Ambassador to the UAE Navdeep Singh Suri, and Ambassador of Italy in the UAE Liborio Stellino were among the dignitaries who attended the conference presided over by Dr Thumbay Moideen, founder-president of the Thumbay Group.

Accredited by the Ministry of Health and Prevention for 4.5 CME Hours, the conference was hosted to mark the World Physiotherapy Day. Speakers from Italy along with experts from the region delivered various talks on the latest updates in the fields of physical therapy and rehabilitation.
