Oman- PASFR holds first meeting of the year

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The Board of Directors of the Public Authority for Stores and Food Reserve (PASFR) held its second meeting for 2018, under the chair of H E Dr Fuad bin Ja'afar bin Mohammed al Sajwani, Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries.

The PASFR Board reviewed the implementation of its decisions made at the previous meeting. It also discussed a number of items on the agenda, most notably the discussion on the report of the second quarter of 2018 and the annual report of 2017.

The board also discussed the executive position on the issues of food security and evaluation on the performance of the food security strategy of the sultanate (2010-20). It also discussed the introduction of a legislation to regulate the government intervention in the management of food stocks in the private sector.
