Oman- Tricolore International opens outlet for premium Italian porcelain tiles

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Tricolore International, in partnership with Atlas Concorde, the top Italian ceramic group in the world, opened a showroom in Azaiba on Monday.

The project, first and only in the Gulf region, aims to offer Omani clients a reference point for Italian products, especially for premium porcelain and wall tiles used in residential, commercial and public architecture.

The 250sq m showroom was inaugurated in the presence of H E Giorgio Visetti, Italian Ambassador to Oman and H E Talal al Rahbi, deputy secretary general of the Supreme Council for Planning. Founded in 2011, Tricolore represents a tangible and successful example of promoting quality Italian products, in particular design materials and detailed textures.

Caterina Carannante, general manager of Tricolore said, 'Since we started the company, we have seen the great vision of His Majesty the Sultan shaping into projects that are changing the face of Oman with iconic buildings not only in terms of design, but because they bear witness to the growth of the country. For us, it is a huge achievement to be part of such prestigious projects, to name but a few, like the Golf Tower at Muscat Hills, the Boutique Hotel in Samail, the Kempinski Hotel in Al Mouj, the City Centre Mall in Sur and the new Turkish Restaurant at the Opera Galleria.

Carlo D Andrea, partner business development of Tricolore said, 'We have an office on 18th November Street and this is our new showroom. There are 80 different types and categories of tiles. We have clients from all over Oman, and we are happy to have our products in the most personal spaces of our clients which makes us special. The new showroom is around 250sq m and some of the most stunning products are with us. It takes normally six to seven weeks for our products to come from Italy for the client homes.'

To promote Italian lifestyle, Tricolore will also be launching, a 'Made in Italy' lottery in cooperation with the Italian travel agency, Parex Incoming, specialised in welcoming visitors from abroad, giving them an authentic feeling of Belpaese. Customers will have the chance to win a one week holiday for two people around Milan, Venice and Florence.

The tickets will be distributed until the end of October and the winner will be announced during the 48th Oman National Day. Tricolore built its presence in Oman seven years ago as an atelier of Made in Italy, a laboratory for professional architects, consultants and designers looking for distinct materials. With an annual production of over 30mn sq m, Atlas Concorde is a global specialist in the sector of porcelain tiles with a green approach.

H E Visetti said, 'Italy has a long relationship with Oman for many years and this addition of the business will add more value. I take this opportunity to congratulate everyone and express my best wishes to all for enhancing ties between Oman and Italy.'
