Qatar- El Araby Erekat Review Latest Developments in Palestine

(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Cairo January 05 (QNA) - Secretary-General of the League of Arab States Dr. Nabil El-Araby met on Tuesday with Secretary General of Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) executive committee Saeb Erekat who is currently visiting Cairo.

The meeting was held at headquarters of General Secretariat of League.During the meeting they reviewed the overall developments in the Palestinian territories in light of the continued Israeli escalation and sanctions policy against the Palestinian people.

The two sides also discussed the efforts being made at the international level to provide international protection for the Palestinian people in addition to the visit of the Secretary-General to New York and Washington to meet with senior officials in the United Nations and the US government to work on the implementation of commitments pertaining to end the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
