Online PR News – 14-October-2014 – Never in her wildest dreams did designer Gaetana T. Parris think one of her pieces would be on national TV when she started designing and making jewelry and accessories.

The Brooklynite got to see one of her exclusive designs from her company Satin Doll & Co. on the Season 6 premier of The Vampire Diaries (The CW). A dangly pair of earrings featuring agate round beads and antique gold spike charms accentuated by antique bronze bead caps and antique bronze findings which were worn by actress Penelope Mitchell who plays the character Liv on the hit TV show. Through her association with The Artisan Group (www.theartisangroup.org) Gaetana had the opportunity to create a piece of jewelry for the shows wardrobe stylist in consideration for use on the show. I was overjoyed when I received confirmation that I got the opportunity says Gaetana. I wanted the piece to reflect the show and be versatile for any of the female characters. What she came up with was her Dagger It Agate Antique & Gold Beaded Dangle earrings which the stylist selected as part of the wardrobe for Liv on the Season 6 premier.

Back in July I found out that my earrings were selected by the stylist for the character and I couldnt be happier says Gaetana. I could not believe that my earrings would be on one of the hit TV shows that Im a huge fan of. Its amazing. A self-taught jewelry maker with a background in the fashion industry designing womens wear took her passion for accessories into a business. In 2007 she launched Satin Doll & Co. on the popular e-commerce website Etsy and in 2013 was accepted into the elite group of artisans that make up the Artisan Group.
