(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, June 6 (KUNA) -- Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Fahad Al-Afasi hailed on Wednesday His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah's speech as "holistic and comprehensive".
His Highness the Amir's speech had also conveyed noble messages, and outlined priorities for national and regional action, the minister told KUNA, commenting on His Highness the Amir's speech on Wednesday on the occasion of the last ten days of Ramadan.
He added that the speech had drawn a roadmap for Kuwait's future and highlighted national, regional and international challenges.
He applauded His Highness the Amir's calls for retaining national and Gulf unity and achieving greater cooperation between the legislative and executive authorities to better serve the homeland and citizens.
His Highness the Amir had also showed keenness on empowering national cadres, especially youth, Al-Afasi said, citing His Highness the Amir's call for giving youth the opportunity to contribute to the state building.
He praised the great role played by His Highness the Amir in bridging the rift and resolving the differences among the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states.
He hoped that the current standoff would end soon.
The Gulf people share history, geography, family relations and common destiny, he noted.
He also appreciated His Highness the Amir call for bringing the conflict in Syria to a halt and for reaching a political solution to the crisis in Yemen. (end) amn.amh.ibi
