Oman- Galfar receives MoTC appreciation certificate for Al Batinah Expressway project


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Galfar Engineering & Contracting Co received a certificate of appreciation from the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MoTC) for its outstanding and effective contribution to the completion of Al Batinah Expressway project (packages one and three).

Over many years Galfar has demonstrated its exalted capability in undertaking challenging projects and has contributed in the development of the sultanate by building roads across the length and breadth of the country, a press release said.

The certificate of appreciation from H E Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed al Futaisi, Minister of Transport and Communications, said, 'This is a recognition from the MoTC to Galfar for their outstanding and effective contribution to the completion of Al Batinah Expressway project (packages one and three). Wishing them continued prosperity and success'.

Al Batinah Expressway was opened to traffic recently by MoTC. The 270km long expressway is said to be one of the largest road projects ever undertaken in the history of the sultanate.

A spokesperson at Galfar said, 'We are delighted to receive this certificate of appreciation from the MoTC. As a company we are grateful for the trust they have bestowed on us. We are proud to have played a part in the completion of an expressway road that will contribute to the economic, commercial or tourism development of the country. Our specialised team is competent to take on any type of road works at any place and has undertaken many challenging jobs at the most difficult terrains.'
