Kuwait chief librarian lauds cooperation with Qatar


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) DOHA, April 17 (KUNA) -- General Director of Kuwait's National Library Kamel Abdul Jelil praised on Tuesday the distinguished cultural cooperation between Kuwait and Qatar affirming the two countries' keenness on boosting these bonds further with new accords and various activities and exhibitions.
Abdul Jelil, in remarks to KUNA during his participation on behalf of Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Mohammad Al-Jabri in inaugurating the new building of Qatar National Library, noted that the two countries had worked out a cultural cooperation accord involving the national libraries in Kuwait and Qatar.
The libraries' accord stipulated organizing joint activities, courses, repairing old manuscripts and documents, exchanging books and publications, holding joint exhibitions and coordinating at the technical level. (end) nnd.rk
