US trade groups raise concerns over Trump planned tariffs on China

(MENAFN) President trump has received an appeal from trade associates that represent US giants against going through with a plan to strike tariffs on Chinese products and services.

In their letter, the 45 trade groups have called on the President to seek other methods in tackling Chinese "protectionism".

The letter read "we urge the administration not to impose tariffs and to work with the business community to find an effective, but measured, solution to China's protectionist trade policies and practices that protects American jobs and competitiveness."

It comes after President Trump declares his intentions to impose about USD30 million tariffs on China's products as well as services.
