Madagascar:17 die in tropical storm
(MENAFN) Authorities declared that over 17 people have died in the tropical storm that struck eastern Madagascar.
The storm,dubbed Eliakim left over 6000 without shelters,according to National Office of Risk and Disaster Management .
The tropical storm struck the island's Mananara district,about 635 km north-east of Antananarivo,with a wind speed that reached 85 km/h and gusts of 120 km/h.
The island's disaster management office confirmed that Tropical Cyclone,Ava,left 51 deaths.
