Cambodian Senate election victory claimed by CPP Prime Minister


(MENAFN) Cambodian Senate election triumph was confirmed to have been granted the Prime Minister of the ruling Cambodian People's Party (CPP), Samdech Techo Hun Sen.

The outcome has shown the CPP to have collected around 11.197 of the overall votes of 11.670, according to National Election Committee (NEC) member and spokesman Dim Sovannarom.

He also revealed the date of the official results declaration to be set for March 3, in case no objections from any political parties surfaced.

CPP's spokesman Sok Eysan declared "this is another huge success for the CPP and we are strongly confident that the CPP will continue to win in the national election on July 29."
