Doha: Committed to promoting a healthy quality of life, Abdullah Abdulghani & Bros Co WLL (AAB), the exclusive dealer of Toyota and Lexus in Qatar, celebrated National Sport Day with a series of simultaneous activities open to the public at the car park Asian Town Cricket Club in Mesaimeer at the Industrial Area.
Being a day that is envisioned to bring communities closer together through fitness, health and unity, the AAB National Sport Day celebration gives the skilled workers living in the vicinity the opportunity to participate with the nation in the celebration.
Sports events for the day included Basketball 3 x 3, Volleyball for Men and Ladies, Cycling, Skateboarding and Team Building sessions or mini-Boot Camp. Pre-registered teams and participants for the ball games and cycling have easily filled up the slots and were in for the friendly competition.
The vast open space of the venue accommodated all simultaneous events and activities.
AAB encourages work life balance and recognises the importance of sports in the holistic development of an individual and community in line with the Qatar National Vision. Internally, it is conducting weekly sports events participated in by around 50 percent of its total number of employees for the consecutive seven years through the AAB Sports Season held during the winter months.
The National Sport Day activities are a vital part of AAB's sports programme celebrated every year. Broadening the scope and impact to the community, AAB has made its celebration open to the public and majority of the skilled workers in the Industrial Area this year.
