UAE traffic: Dubai, Abu Dhabi roads to avoid this morning

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Heavy traffic and several accidents caused delays to commuters in UAE on Thursday morning.

The Abu Dhabi Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport took to Twitter at 7.28am to report an accident on E20 road before Khalifa City Bridge. Middle and right lanes were blocked. The incident caused heavy delays and snarls, which was cleared at 8.08am.

- Abu Dhabi Traffic (@ad_traffic) Motorist faced heavy delays on E10 road from Sheikh Zayed Street inbound after Eastern Mangrove underpass heading towards the city.

In Dubai, heavy congestion was reported across Dubai on E44 Al Awir road from Al Warqa to Ras Al Khor, Al Khail Road and Shaikh Zayed Road near Al Barsha.

There is also heavy traffic on the roads headed from Al Nahda and heading into Dubai. Tailbacks were reported with heavy congestion on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road from the National Paints roundabout in Sharjah to Dubai.

Drivers are advised to take alternative routes wherever possible.
