Iran prosecutes individuals over currency fluctuation

Iranian security officials have brought at least six individuals to prosecution over the recent fluctuations in the currency rate, a judiciary official said.
The spokesman for the judiciary, Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejehi, has said that the intelligence ministry is also involved in the issue, Tasnim news agency reported.
I am not informed if the prosecuted individuals have been arrested or released, he added.
According to the country's real-time data sharing system, SANA, euro valued 58,852 rials in the free market, jumping 2.45 percent on Sunday.
The USD was quoted at 46,643 rials in the free market growing 2.05 percent compared to the preceding day.
