RA'S AL-KHAIMAH, 2nd February 2018 (WAM) -- The final phase of the offshore seismic survey in coastal areas of Ra's al-Khaimah is due to take place between 10th-18th February, according to a Notice to Mariners issued by the Harbour Master of RAK Ports.
During this period, all shipping in the anchorage area of Saqr Port will be required to shift their anchor position to a temporary designated anchorage further offshore to allow the survey vessel to undertake the survey unimpeded, the Notice said.
All shipping has been advised to exercise extreme caution when operating within and close to the limits of Saqr Port, keeping well clear of the survey area, proceeding with minimum speed, navigating with caution and coordinating all movements within the Port's limits with the Port Control for Saqr Port and RAK Maritime City.
