Lang'ata residents left homeless after flames outbreak

(MENAFN) Kenya has been struck with a blaze that burnt down a slum, leaving over three people for death and destroying thousands homes.

In an effort to put out the fire, civilians in the Lang'ata area Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, tried using sewage water after witnessing their houses aflame.

Firefighters lacked sufficient water to extinguish the blaze which started Sunday evening, but they finally doused it Monday morning, MP Nixon Korir confirmed.

The source of the fire which destroyed homes and lives and went on for ten straight hours is yet to be clear.
