Indonesian stock exchange ceiling collapse injures dozens


(MENAFN) At the Jakarta stock exchange building (IDX), a mezzanine ceiling has fallen down reportedly wounding several people.

The collapse forced an evacuation and the building to be cordoned off, as ceiling pieces and broken furniture created a suffocating wave of dust.

Police confirmed the incident to have injured a total of 72 people who were taken to three different hospitals in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia.
