FCC to move forward with the repeal of net neutrality rules

(MENAFN) The move to repeal net neutrality rules is confirmed to be acted upon by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), which means going against activists, Democrats and consumers who strongly object of the plan.

The FCC is estimated on Thursday to grant its approval of Chairman Ajit Pai's proposal to cancel out rules that entails internet service providers to treat all web traffic evenly.

While all Republican appointees are behind the repeal, all Democratic appointees are against it which means that the measure is expected to pass 3-2.
