Brexit excludes UK firms from bidding

(MENAFN) UK aerospace companies say they are being suspended from auctioning for space contracts over the Brexit vote.

According to Simon Henley of the Royal Aeronautical Society, contracts for Galileo, the European navigation satellite system, were mainly being affected.

CEO of ADS aerospace said: "No deal would be the worst possible outcome, from an industry point of view. We believe that would be chaotic, and unhelpful for this particular sector, and a number of others."

Henley said: "Although membership of the European Space Agency is not part of the EU discussions because it is not an EU body, many of the contracts, including Galileo, are EU funded."
