Baidu to establish driverless vehicles

(MENAFN) Baidu's CEO said the Chinese company is planning to establish "small-scale production" of completely autonomous mini-buses in 2018 July.

The company also plans to make self-driving car models in partnership with manufacturers JAC Motors and Beijing Automotive Industry Corp.

When connecting with the "Internet of cars," the driverless vehicles would analyze the information of signals and roads, which will improve traffic efficiency.

CEO said: "The monitoring system developed by Baidu can monitor whether a driver is tired or not. If the driver is tired, the system will issue a warning and perk up the driver with a cheerful song."
