California: Walmart employees arrested over embezzlement charges
(MENAFN) According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, twenty-two workers at a Walmart store in Palm Desert, California were taken into custody last week over a charge of embezzlement scheme.
The Desert Dun reported that the suspected crimes have been ongoing since September, for more than two weeks.
The plot carried out by the suspects included fraudulently loading gift cards which made them gain at least 1,000 unauthorized transactions from 7 September to 18 September, which helped them buy electronics, groceries along with other items.
