Man accused of kidnapping, raping Emirati woman pleads not guilty

(MENAFN) A man accused of raping and abducting an Emirati woman in Dubai pleaded not guilty in court on Sunday.

He insisted on being innocent to the charges of kidnap, assault, rape and making criminal threats of his friend's girlfriend.

The Court of First Instance heard how the 36-year-old unemployed man, holding a Comoros Islands passport, raped the Emirati victim under threat after he banged her head repeatedly against his car's door and punching her all over her body.

However, he denied in court the woman's accusations, claiming she accompanied him willingly.
