Only a week after her 37th birthday, Egypt's Eman Ahmed, the world's former heaviest woman who once weighed 500kg, passed away this morning at Burjeel Hospital in Abu Dhabi.
Doctors said she died at 4:35am (local time) due to the complications related to her co-morbid conditions, including heart ailment and kidney dysfunction.
She underwent surgery for weight-loss in Mumbai earlier in 2017.

Condition worsened in last few days

Doctors said Eman's heart disease and kidney dysfunction worsened over the last few days. A hospital official said, "She had been under supervision of 20 doctors from different specialties." However, she had shown improvement in the emotional and psychological growth parameters.
Eman reached Abu Dhabi after losing around 300kg
Treatment
Eman Ahmed of Egypt's Alexandria came to Mumbai's Saifee Hospital in Feb'17 for weight-loss treatment; she was considered the world's heaviest woman at the time, weighing 504kg.
Saifee doctors said following a bariatric surgery and strict diet regime, Eman lost 300kg.
She was then taken to Burjeel on 4 May. Doctors posted videos, claiming Eman was recovering three times faster than they had planned.
Eman will feed herself by mouth, said medical officer earlier

Burjeel Hospital's Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Yassin El Shahat, earlier said that by the end of Eman Ahmed's second stage treatment, she will feed herself by mouth and also move around using an electric wheelchair, after losing reasonable weight due to the strict diet regimen.
