Oman aims to build two mini desalination plants
(MENAFN) Oman's Public Authority for Elect and Water has issued tenders for a pair of small water desalination plants to be installed for the first time on a build-own-operate basis (BOO).
Moreover, PAEW follows a new project delivery model adopted by the authority in 2015 that advocates a role for private investors in the improvement of small water schemes.
However, this is in contrast to the PAEW's longstanding practice of procuring water desalination capacity outside of the grid-connected zones.
Additionally, these mini desalination plants are planned at Mahout Wilayat and Musandam Governorate.
