(MENAFN- NewsBytes) Workers from the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) forcefully entered the ZARA store located at Palladium Mall, Lower Parel.

The workers demanded that ZARA shut down the section and stop selling clothes made in Pakistan.

They were doing so as Kulbushan Jadhav, India's ex-Navy officer, has been granted a death sentence by a Pakistani military court.

Railways: Mumbai could get its first air-conditioned local in 2020

Under the third phase of the Mumbai Urban Transport Project (MUTP-III), the Maharashtra Government and the Ministry of Railways decided to purchase 47 air-conditioned (AC) locals.

Mumbai will get 20 more AC local trains under this project.

Chairman Managing Director of Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation (MRVC), Prabhat Sahay claimed that the trains will be fully vestibule trains featuring automatic doors and modern facilities.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Wednesday filed a police complaint against actor Rishi Kapoor at the Bandra Police Station.

Kapoor had recently sought permission for trimming a banyan tree at his Pali Hill bungalow.

According to the complaint, Kapoor cut more branches than he was permitted to cut, thereby damaging the tree.

Kapoor claims to have been targeted by those with vested interests.

Corruption: IAS Officer suspended by CM Fadnavis for accepting bribery

Additional tribal development commissioner Milind Bhagwan Gawade, an IAS officer of the 2007 batch was suspended by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis over a case of corruption.

Gawade's assistant, Kiran Mali was also suspended.

Together, the two allegedly sought Rs. 12 lakh from tribal school wardens for not demoting them for being underqualified.

The wardens then approached the Anti-Corruption Bureau.

Mega Block: Western Railways to have a 12-hour mega block this Sunday

The Western Railways have announced a 12-hour mega block this Sunday for the work being carried out on the extension of the railway line from Andheri to Goregaon.

According to the WR release, the mega block will start on Sunday midnight; passengers could face trouble due to cancellation and delaying of trains.

However, fast trains would halt at Jogeshwari station.

Law: PIL challenges toll collection on Mumbai-Pune Expressway

A public interest litigation filed in the Bombay High Court urged the Maharashtra Government to repeal the contractor's right to collect toll on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway till August 2019.

According to the PIL, the contractor is allegedly pocketing excess collection.

The PIL stated that Mhaiskar Infrastructure Pvt Ltd had already met its collection target of Rs. 2,869 crore.
