Amman, Dec. (Petra) -- The Crown Prince Foundation (CPF), represented by its Chief Executive Officer Mr. Omar Massarweh, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), on Wednesday, with the World Federation of Athletic Training and Therapy (WFATT) in the presence of its President Dr. Larry Leverenz and Mr. Nasser Majali, Secretary General of the Olympic Committee.

The MoU calls for the evaluation of sports therapy practices in Jordan based on a well-defined strategy in accordance to international standards to maximize the benefits they provide. Furthermore, the MoU outlines the implementation of a specialized training course, whose prepared content will be based on requirements for new therapists and graduates of accredited Jordanian universities, as well as a number of subjects, especially those surrounding first aid in stadiums and injury prevention methods.

In his statement, the CPF's CEO Mr. Omar Massarweh said: "This agreement with WFATT aligns with the goals of the CPF's Qusai initiative, which assumes responsibility of working with local and international institutions to make a positive impact on sports therapy systems in Jordan."

WFATT's President Dr. Larry Leverenz expressed favorable sentiments towards signing the MoU, stating: "We are delighted to work with the CPF's Qusai initiative, whose goals and ambitions we share in common. We will work to increase our joint cooperation in the future."

Secretary General of the Olympic Committee Mr. Nasser Majali assured his support for this agreement in his statement as well: "We are pleased to host the signing of this MoU, which will allow CPF's Qusai Initiative to continue garnering the results they achieved in past years. And we will offer everything we can to the initiative's noble efforts in advancing Jordanian sports, as the Olympic Committee will hold a major role in this field within the near future."

It is worth noting that CPF's Qusai Initiative aims to increase the level of readiness and preparation of sports medicine professionals. The initiative also works to limit the injuries of sports players as a result of medical errors and accidents by holding advanced courses to train qualified specialists and laying down a plan to produce sports therapists who meet the highest international standards in cooperation with the Jordan Sports Medicine Federation and the Olympic Committee.
