EasyJet to acquire German TUIfly after Brexit


(MENAFN) The German carrier, TUIfly, said that Easy Jet is in talk to acquire it, while the British airline seeks ways to keep flying freely within the EU.

Martin Locher, an employee representative on TUIfly"s supervisory board said that talks have been going for some time, and they were in talks with EasyJet as well as "another airline in a European country outside Germany" about to takeover.

Moreover, share in EasyJet were down by 1.4% at 1,031 pence in London, while Chief Executive Carolyn McCall had ruled out takeovers just a few months ago.
