Minister of Sports Affairs Sheikh Dr. Yahya bin Sulaiman al- Nadabi the Wali of Al Amerat a number of members of Majlis A'Shura a number of officials and fans of the game.
Sayyid Haitham bin Tariq al- Said said in a statement that the establishment of Oman Cricket Club was donated by
Sultan Qaboos Bin Said. There is a tendency for the establishment of an academy and a school for the game he furthered. He urged young Omani fans of the game to take the initiative to join the club wishing that the national cricket team achieves positive results during its participation in the world Cup qualifier next month in India. Sayyid Haitham thanked the management of the Oman Cricket Club on the efforts they have made during the last period.
