Sacred Heart School names Laura Parry as International Student Program Coordinator

Sacred Heart School (www.sacredheartkingston.com) a private Catholic co-educational school for students in preschool through grade 12 today announced that Laura Parry of Marshfield Massachusetts has joined the faculty as International Student Program Coordinator.
Sacred Heart has a long tradition of welcoming students from throughout the world to its school community each year hosting students from a variety of nations including China Finland Germany Ireland Italy Mexico South Korea Spain Switzerland Thailand and Vietnam.
In her role as International Student Program Coordinator Parry oversees Sacred Heart’s International Student Program providing academic support to the international students and serving as a liaison between the school and host families as well as partner agencies.
Prior to joining Sacred Heart Parry was the Program Manager with EduBoston assigned to Sacred Heart High School; she was responsible for academic support for EduBoston students managing host families ensuring students’ social well-being and monitoring their academic progress. Previously the San Francisco native conducted social science research for the Public Research Institute at San Francisco State University.
Parry received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Sociology from San Francisco State University and her Master’s degree in Sociology from San Jose State University. She is a member of the American Sociological Association and Alpha Phi Omega – Service Fraternity.
Parry makes her home in Marshfield with her husband and their two children. She is the current PTO president at Martinson Elementary School in Marshfield. In her free time Parry loves to travel and hopes to visit China within the year. She is a do-it-yourself enthusiast enjoys needle art hiking reading and time spent near the water but concedes that most of her spare moments revolve around her children’s hobbies and interests.
