10th Gulf Forum for the Blind Opens in Oman


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) The 10th Gulf Forum for the Blind, organized by Al Noor Association for the Blind branch in Oman's Dhofar Governorate, was opened today.
The five-day forum aims at advising the blind on how to become self-reliant and explain the role of modern technology in social and professional inclusion for the blind. The forum provides an ideal opportunity to share knowledge and experiences among the blind from the GCC countries.
The forum includes lectures, panel discussions and seminars that aim at developing and benefiting from experiences of individuals and Al Noor Associations in Oman, as well as the GCC participating associations, besides those in Iraq and Yemen.
At the end of the forum's opening ceremony, certificates of appreciation were distributed on individuals, government and private agencies sponsoring the forum.
