China's M and A hits USD183b in H1


(MENAFN) A report by an accounting firm PwC shows that, China's value of merger and acquisitions (M and A) hit a three year high in the first half of the year, QNA reported.

The M and A posted a value of USD183 billion during the first six months of the year, up 19 percent compared to the second half of 2013.

PwC partner Liu Yan confirmed that the M and A growth was due to over 30 big deals valued at USD1 billion each.

The record high also came as investors sought M and A to boost growth to cope with increasingly fierce competition amid industry restructuring, according to the report.
